Anne R. Brown was one of the founding members of the Albany Artists Group in 1944, and was active in the group from through 1949 or 1950.

SOME BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: born 1891, Des Moines, Iowa. First Albany City Directory listing is 1930. Married to Charles Wilson Brown, a park engineer with NYS Dept. of Public Works, office on Broadway, house at 303 Hudson Avenue. Charles was from Gloversville, and died in 1967 in Fort Lauderdale. They had moved to Florida in 1950 when Charles retired. Anne outlived him, but we do not currently know Anne’s date of death.
