Carol has rejoined the Albany Artists Group after participating in our 75th Anniversary show in February of 2020 at the William Sanford Colonie Town Library.
Born in Philadelphia, a Music major at Tufts University in Boston, Carol has been a resident of the Capital District since the 1960s. She was a member of the Albany Artists Group in the late 1960s, and participated in many of their shows…including the Summer Tent shows on the Albany Capital lawn.
In the 70s, Carol earned an MA in Fine Arts/Painting from the State University of New York in Albany. She also studied with Rudy Helmo, another former member of the AAG. She spent 20 years working as a graphic designer in the Albany area, meanwhile producing an “uncountable” number of paintings, exhibiting locally (including a one-person show at Albany Center Galleries in the early 80s), and also exhibiting at the Jacob-Fanning Gallery in Wellfleet on Cape Cod. Carol’s works are in many private collections, locally and throughout the United States.
In Carol’s words: “Not being one to stick with one series for long, my images (always representational) have included houses, winter landscapes, Arizona, Cape Cod, and Maine landscapes, antique machines, pots, barrels, cats, and my garden.”
