"I am an oil and watercolor painter living in the Hudson River Valley. I attended Carleton College where I took many studio arts classes. During college I spent one summer employed as an illustrator for the US Forest Service in Monongahela National Forest. After a career in psychology, I have returned to painting more actively the last 14 years and am currently painting full time. I have taken watercolor classes with Joe Mayer and Marge Laurie and oil classes by Paul Leveille, Fred Hines, and David Leffel. In 2001 I had an artist's residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT.
"I taught Psychology of the Arts and the Artist at VCU (Richmond, VA) and have given painting demonstrations at the Troy Art Guild, Bethlehem Art Association, and the Schenectady Art Association. I taught watercolor at the Capital District Arts Center in Troy, N.Y. I have had many solo shows in Vermont and New York. I had an oil of the Bog River accepted in the widely distributed Brooks calendar of 2003. I am a former president of the Bethlehem Art Association, and a member of the Albany Arts Center and the Colonie Art League.
