Rita has been a continuous active member of the Albany Artists’ Group since 1997.
Born and educated in Switzerland, and later living in Canada and New York, Rita's landscapes record the natural beauty she observes. Rita has taken courses at the Sacchi in Florence, Italy, the State University of New York in Albany, Albany Junior College, and the Malden Bridge School of Art. She has studied with Franklin Alexander from Woodstock, and acclaimed pastel artist Stanley Maltzman. Rita has won numerous prizes and awards in the Capital Region and shown her work in Kent, Ct. and Felspoint, Baltimore. Her work is in private collections throughout the U.S. as well as Switzerland and Spain.
